I am innately creative and have an extensive resume of skills and creative endeavors. I have studied art with a concentration in graphic design, which led to a successful 15-year graphic design career. I’ve worked as a freelance designer for a variety of organizations, including corporations, small businesses, and non-profit organizations. I have taught art to children, adults and seniors and use many of these experiences today as a small business owner, workshop facilitator and teacher.

My creative journey has been one of facing-down fears and overcoming grave disappointments, including a long season of sorrow. My creativity stifled, I became a sad and "frustrated artist," consumed by regret and loss. Thankfully, in 2013, I was introduced to using creativity as a healing methodology. I participated in a creative collaging workshop titled: "Picking Up the Pieces" – a perfect reflection of my broken life and lost dreams. I experienced a powerful shift which restarted my creative "flow" that continues today.
I specialize in mixed media collage mixed and silk painting. I have shown my work in local galleries and art shows, winning the BEST IN SHOW AWARD at Arts Center East, Vernon. In 2014 Be Brave Art & Design was founded. The very name reflects my personal journey to create the life I've dreamed of living! To fulfill my dreams has taken courage and sheer determination. These characteristics are what I impart to those I work alongside.
In 2018, I obtained Certifications in Art Sozo® and The Grief Recovery Method®. I am professionally affilliated with Patti C Dunne, MA., LPC, Founder & Director of The Healing Tree, LLC in Hebron, CT.

Today, a convergence of artistic and lifetime experiences have led to my dreams and purpose. Discovering my artistic talents and taking my own healing journey has increased my passion to help others. Sharing my message of HOPE, I work alongside of many young women guiding them through the process of grief loss and healing through expressive art encounters, these include collage, painting & poetry.

I reside in Manchester, CT, with my son, Caleb, along with a spunky Jack Russell Terrier named Lilly.
